As a physician leader, you know how vital strong leadership is to an effective organization. Here is your chance to help lead the American Association for Physician Leadership® as we continue to address the rapidly changing healthcare environment as well as the needs of our members and physician leadership industry wide.

We are seeking candidates for the 2023-2027 AAPL Board of Directors. Board members serve a four-year term, with participation in a variety of board committees.

Participating in the AAPL Board of Directors provides you with many benefits, including:

• Gain valuable expertise in financial management, risk management, governance, leading teams, and more

• Share your valuable expertise and knowledge with the physician community

The AAPL Board of Directors is looking for candidates with a wide breadth of knowledge in any of our Areas of Expertise, as well as those with leadership experience in healthcare settings, business acumen, and industry expertise and who are experienced in governance of nonprofit organization boards. Additionally, each year we also focus on soliciting for potential Board members who have experience in specific areas of expertise. This year, in addition to soliciting for experienced leaders, we are seeking individuals with knowledge and experience in the following three areas:

• Healthcare Economics & Next Generation Payment

• For-Profit Healthcare Systems-Leadership

• Workforce Wellness (Newly added)

To be eligible, you must be an active member of the association and be a Certified Physician Executive (CPE), and/or AAPL Fellow, and/or master's degree graduate from one of the association's partnering universities.

Applicants will be asked to submit their resume, profile picture, and a personal statement that describes their vision for AAPL and how they will help the association succeed.

Applications for the 2023-2027 AAPL Board of Directors must be submitted by December 18, 2022.
