On April 23, 2024, The Federal Trade Commission ruled non-compete agreements will be banned due to impact upon the United States’ labor markets. But the ruling is more complex than simply voiding all non-compete agreements. In 570 pages, the Commission covers the scope of its jurisdiction exceptions to its general ruling, and addresses potential “work arounds” and related agreements.
