Non-Compete Agreements, Physicians, and the Federal Trade Commissions’ April 23, 2024 Ruling

Webinar

On April 23, 2024, The Federal Trade Commission ruled non-compete agreements will be banned due to impact upon the United States’ labor markets. But the ruling is more complex than simply voiding all non-compete agreements. In 570 pages, the Commission covers the scope of its jurisdiction exceptions to its general ruling, and addresses potential “work arounds” and related agreements.

This fast-paced webinar focuses on the rulings' impact on practicing physicians. Issues are discussed from both the employee and employer perspectives.

Objectives:
1) Analyze the applicability of the FTC’s ruling for physicians;
2) Determine other employer/employee agreements which now may be banned;
3) Explore alternatives to non-compete agreements; and
4) Recognize the interplay between state and federal law on non-compete agreements.

For over 45 years.

The American Association for Physician Leadership has helped physicians develop their leadership skills through education, career development, thought leadership and community building.

The American Association for Physician Leadership (AAPL) changed its name from the American College of Physician Executives (ACPE) in 2014. We may have changed our name, but we are the same organization that has been serving physician leaders since 1975.
