Yisrael M. Safeek, MD, MBA, CPE, FACPE, is founder and CEO of the SafeCare Group, which works with hospitals and physicians on best-practice protocols and software. He previously served as chief quality officer for Covenant Health System and chief medical officer for its health partners and worked and collaborated with the Joint Commission for nine years and Malcolm Baldrige for six years. He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the Certifying Commission in Medical Management and is a fellow of the American College of Physician Executives.
Safeek was born in South America. He graduated with a BS from Austin Peay State University and attended the Quillen School of Medicine at East Tennessee State University, where he got his MD. His anesthesiology training was at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and his MBA is from the University of Tennessee Physician Executive MBA program.
