Mitchell A. Kaminski, MD, MBA is a medical doctor with an MBA in Medical Services Management. He received his education from the University of Michigan School of Medicine and Johns Hopkins University School of Continuing Education. Dr. Kaminski is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He has held various faculty appointments throughout his career, including at Thomas Jefferson University, Temple University School of Medicine, and the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

In addition to his teaching and clinical practice, Dr. Kaminski has also served in several administrative and professional roles, including Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at Crozer-Chester Medical Center and Chief Clinical Officer of the Delaware Valley Accountable Care Organization. He has been involved in various educational and scholarly activities, such as developing and teaching courses on population health, leveraging health information technology, and conducting research on primary care and practice-based interventions.

Dr. Kaminski has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and has served on the editorial board of several publications. He has also given presentations and lectures on topics such as population health, primary care, and value-based care. Dr. Kaminski has received several awards and honors throughout his career, including the NAVVIS Professor of Population Health and the Award for Outstanding Teaching from Jefferson College of Population Health.

Since joining the Jefferson College of Population Health in August 2018, Dr. Kaminski has led enhancement of the College curriculum to include greater emphasis on value-based care, population health management, and an increasing focus on the social determinants of health. He speaks to diverse groups on population health topics, value-based care, and physician leadership. Dr. Kaminski continues to care for patients part-time, most recently at the Jefferson Department of Family and Community Medicine. He is committed to addressing the challenges of transforming healthcare systems and bringing front-line perspectives to his leadership positions.
