Dr. Matt Mazurek was born and raised in Fresno, California and attended Fresno State, graduating with a BA in English Literature with an emphasis in creative writing. During his post-baccalaureate, premedical courses, he taught physics and astronomy at Fresno State before matriculating to UCSF for medical school and completion of his anesthesia residency at UCSF. He joined Southern Arizona Anesthesia in Tucson and was elected Chair of the Department and Chief-of-Staff at St. Mary's Hospital. He served as Medical Director for Envision Physician services in Minnesota and is currently Assistant Clinical Professor for the Yale School of Medicine in the Department of Anesthesiology.
