Laurie Gregg, MD, FACOG, MSCP, CPE, DipABLM, DipABOM, has served as Chief Well-being Officer for Sutter Independent Physicians since 2019 and expanded her leadership as Chief Well-being Officer for Sutter Medical Center Sacramento in 2025. Dr. Gregg has led a culture shift by embedding physician well-being into the fabric of organizational strategy, including routine measurement and study of burnout, quarterly system-level education on improving medical practice environments to enhance well-being, and programs that foster connection and community among clinicians.

Her influence spans the outpatient clinic, hospital, health system, and national levels, where she champions a formalized peer support system to assist physicians navigating acute stressors. A driving force behind the launch of a national peer support network for OB/GYNs, Dr. Gregg continues to innovate in promoting physician longevity and resilience in a demanding field. She has presented her work on wellness and well-being at both national and international conferences and is recognized as a thought leader in this space.

In recognition of her impact, she was honored with the Gary S. Nye Award for Physician Health and Well-being from the California Medical Association and the Golden Stethoscope Award from the Sacramento Sierra Medical Society for her outstanding contributions to both patients and peers.
