Feeling energized after AAPL’s big annual event in Boston? Help educate your fellow physician leaders.

The 2018 Physician Leadership Summit in Boston, Massachusetts, is over, but the information exchange doesn’t have to end there.

In today’s volatile health care environment, physician leaders have a wealth of knowledge about how to lead positive industry transformation for the benefit of their patients and organizations. They are agents of change, with the experience and expertise to make a meaningful difference.

That’s why the American Association for Physician Leadership extends an ongoing, open invitation to physician leaders and other health care leadership professionals to share their knowledge with colleagues throughout the world.

Maybe something you saw or heard during the presentations, discussions and educational events at the Leadership Summit inspired you to share what you’ve learned over the years. Let us know.

Our award-winning magazine, the Physician Leadership Journal, includes an entire section of peer-reviewed articles related to leadership in medicine, organizations and health care delivery. We publish articles by physician leaders, for physician leaders — articles that spotlight original research, operational interventions and findings, and discussions that orient readers to important issues within health care leadership.

We also welcome relevant commentary pieces about contemporary leadership and the issues leaders face every day. The issues you face are the issues your colleagues face. What have you done that worked? Why did it work? How did you do it? Where have you made an impact as a leader? Your colleagues want to know.

As the voice of physician leadership, the PLJ encourages physician leaders to submit manuscripts based on their professional perspectives. The shared knowledge helps physician leaders amplify their powerful voice.

You don’t have to be in the C-suite to contribute your expertise. All physicians are leaders at some level — with experiences and points of view essential to the profession’s collective body of knowledge. Knowledge is power.
